Im 3.6 years in Norway and has nobody except a non norwegian but yet white partner. Yes, im not white and learning norsk still. I clearly see how people interact with my partner vs me is different ????. It breaks my heart and don't even try to talk how i feel with him who will never understand given his spoiled privileged life.

I am sorry you are experiencing this, some, or many people are awful when it comes to judging others.

I'm in a very similar situation, only I've been here for 18 years now. I'm a 47 year old Irish man, who has always had trouble making friends. It's only recently that I've realised that relying too heavily on my wife being my only friend isn't the healthiest for my relationship, or my mental health.

I also work in IT, and I think that makes us rely too much on the online world, while the real world is so, so important.

Same as Kim, I'd be open to talking if you'd like to. Frankly, it would probably do me as much good as it would you :)

First of all I just want to say that I'm sorry for the awful experiences that you have had/ are having.
I was born and raised in Norway myself, but I have a different skin color and is not what people would call etnical norwegian. Unfortunately some norwegians have struggles sympathizing with people like us, simply because they have not been in the same position themselves.. It's sad.
I'm sorry that your partner can't understand you too.. That sounds difficult. I'm open to having conversations about a lot with you, but I'll have to warn you that I'm really bad at using social media and can take a loooong time responding. I'm 23 btw.
